Watch a short interview with Frank Fernandez

Bernard (Frank) Fernandez was born in Millsboro, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately upon graduating high school. After completing his military service, he attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1951 with a B.S. in Education.

Frank worked for three organizations in the transportation industry before forming his own companies, a messenger service and an air freight company. When he sold both companies in 1973, their combined annual sales were in the millions. After "smelling the roses" for a while he participated in the "usual" consulting.


Frank started writing the script for "A Beautiful Friendship" in 2003. He began looking for actors in 2005. The actual shooting of the movie started in July 2007 and finished in August 2007. Frank has been married to Suzi for thirty-five years.

"Her (Suzi's) contributions to "A Beautiful Friendship" can not be measured. They began with the scriptwriting and continued through final editing and choice of music".

Frank and Suzi have one son - Joseph.
